Age restriction None — any age vehicle

1 PRO is a dateless registration — one of the most desirable formats in the UK personalised plate market. Dateless plates carry no year identifier, which means they can be transferred to a vehicle of any age with no restriction. This flexibility, combined with their short format and limited availability, makes dateless plates among the most sought-after on the market.

Registration History

1 PRO was first made available in 1961. The original issuing office for this combination is Hertfordshire C.C.. Local council and county borough offices issued plates within their geographic area — the issuing office identifies the regional origin of the registration.
