Frequently Asked Questions

• What could CH26 PPS represent? +
Many people would see CH26 PPS as representing the name or word Creeps. As with all personalised number plates, the registration has no official meaning — it is a combination of letters and numbers issued by the DVLA that buyers choose for its personal significance.
• Where is the cheapest place to buy CH26 PPS? +
NewReg.co.uk currently lists CH26 PPS at £1,599, with a total all-in cost from £1,999 including the £80 DVLA transfer fee. NewReg operates a price match guarantee — if you find the same plate advertised cheaper by another dealer, we will beat that price. Full DVLA transfer handling is included at no extra charge beyond the £80 DVLA fee.
• Why are some CH26 PPS listings priced much lower than the market rate? +
Some dealers advertise plates with a headline figure such as “from £200”, which can refer to their minimum site-wide price rather than an actual price for CH26 PPS. The genuine market value of CH26 PPS reflects its specific characteristics — plate format, letter combination, rarity and any name or word that buyers may associate with it. NewReg lists CH26 PPS at £1,599 — the true market price — with a price match guarantee: if you find CH26 PPS legitimately offered cheaper by another UK dealer, we will beat that price.
• What is included when I buy CH26 PPS from NewReg? +
Your purchase of CH26 PPS from NewReg includes: full DVLA transfer service — we handle all paperwork on your behalf at no extra charge beyond the standard DVLA transfer fee, a certificate of entitlement, and road-legal acrylic number plates. The £80 DVLA transfer fee is shown separately at checkout and paid direct to the DVLA. NewReg has been a DVLA-recognised reseller and CNDA member since 1989.
• Where was CH26 PPS originally issued? +
The CH area code on CH26 PPS identifies it as having been issued by the Cardiff DVLA office, covering the Wales area of the UK.
• Can I put CH26 PPS on my car? +
Under DVLA rules, a number plate cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it is. CH26 PPS can be assigned to a vehicle first registered on or after the same period or newer — it cannot be placed on a vehicle registered before that date.
• Does NewReg offer a price guarantee on CH26 PPS? +
Yes. NewReg guarantees you will not find CH26 PPS advertised cheaper by any other UK dealer. If you do find a lower price for the same plate, we will beat it — our guarantee covers the full cost including the plate rights, VAT, and the DVLA transfer fee. See our price match guarantee at newreg.co.uk/services/guarantee/
• What is the total cost of buying CH26 PPS? +
The all-in cost of buying CH26 PPS from NewReg is £1,999. This breaks down as: plate price £1,599 + VAT £320 + DVLA transfer fee £80. There are no hidden charges — the DVLA fee is paid directly to the DVLA as part of the transfer process. NewReg handles all DVLA paperwork on your behalf.
• What does CH26 PPS mean as a personalised plate? +
As a personalised number plate, CH26 PPS is most often chosen because it reads as the name or word Creeps. The DVLA issues registrations based on a formula of letters and numbers — the personal meaning comes from how buyers interpret the combination. CH26 PPS is a popular choice for anyone named Creeps or with a personal or professional connection to that word.
