Plate Details

CU12 LER is a current-style registration issued in March 2012. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (12), and a three-letter random sequence. The 12 area code identifies it as originating from the Swansea DVLA office, covering Wales. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after March 2012 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.

Investment & Value

CU12 LER is a current-style registration. While the current format is still issued, specific combinations with strong personal associations — particularly short, meaningful initials — command significant premiums on the secondary market. Personalised number plates are a tangible, portable asset. Unlike most purchases, a desirable plate retains and can appreciate in value over time. NewReg has been trading since 1989 and can advise on valuation — call 01772 566400.
