Plate Details

DO20 THE is a current-style registration issued in March 2020. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (20), and a three-letter random sequence. The 20 area code identifies it as originating from the Shrewsbury DVLA office, covering West Midlands. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after March 2020 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What could DO20 THE represent? +

• Why are some DO20 THE listings priced much lower than the market rate? +
Some dealers advertise plates with a headline figure such as “from £200”, which can refer to their minimum site-wide price rather than an actual price for DO20 THE. The genuine market value of DO20 THE reflects its specific characteristics — plate format, letter combination, rarity and any name or word that buyers may associate with it. NewReg lists DO20 THE at £2,845 — the true market price — with a price match guarantee: if you find DO20 THE legitimately offered cheaper by another UK dealer, we will beat that price.

• What year is the DO20 number plate? +
