Plate Details

FA58 FER is a current-style registration issued in September 2008. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (58), and a three-letter random sequence. The 58 area code identifies it as originating from the Nottingham DVLA office, covering East Midlands. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after September 2008 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.

Investment & Value

FA58 FER is a current-style registration. While the current format is still issued, specific combinations with strong personal associations — particularly short, meaningful initials — command significant premiums on the secondary market. Personalised number plates are a tangible, portable asset. Unlike most purchases, a desirable plate retains and can appreciate in value over time. NewReg has been trading since 1989 and can advise on valuation — call 01772 566400.

Plates are not a guaranteed investment — values depend on demand, plate format, and letter combination.
