Frequently Asked Questions

• What type of number plate is PP26 ECE? +
PP26 ECE is a Current style number plate (2 letters + 2 numbers + 3 letters). Personalised number plates have no official meaning — they are combinations of letters and numbers issued by the DVLA.
• Where is the cheapest place to buy PP26 ECE? +
NewReg.co.uk currently lists PP26 ECE at £2,599, with a total all-in cost from £3,199 including the £80 DVLA transfer fee. NewReg operates a price match guarantee — if you find the same plate advertised cheaper by another dealer, we will beat that price. Full DVLA transfer handling is included at no extra charge beyond the £80 DVLA fee.
• Why are some PP26 ECE listings priced much lower than the market rate? +
Some dealers advertise plates with a headline figure such as “from £200”, which can refer to their minimum site-wide price rather than an actual price for PP26 ECE. The genuine market value of PP26 ECE reflects its specific characteristics — plate format, letter combination, rarity and any name or word that buyers may associate with it. NewReg lists PP26 ECE at £2,599 — the true market price — with a price match guarantee: if you find PP26 ECE legitimately offered cheaper by another UK dealer, we will beat that price.
• What is included when I buy PP26 ECE from NewReg? +
Your purchase of PP26 ECE from NewReg includes: full DVLA transfer service — we handle all paperwork on your behalf at no extra charge beyond the standard DVLA transfer fee, a certificate of entitlement, and road-legal acrylic number plates. The £80 DVLA transfer fee is shown separately at checkout and paid direct to the DVLA. NewReg has been a DVLA-recognised reseller and CNDA member since 1989.
• Where was PP26 ECE originally issued? +
The PP area code on PP26 ECE identifies it as having been issued by the Preston DVLA office, covering the North West England area of the UK.
• Can I put PP26 ECE on my car? +
Under DVLA rules, a number plate cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it is. PP26 ECE can be assigned to a vehicle first registered on or after the same period or newer — it cannot be placed on a vehicle registered before that date.
• Does NewReg offer a price guarantee on PP26 ECE? +
