Plate Details

VO20 GEL is a current-style registration issued in March 2020. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (20), and a three-letter random sequence. The 20 area code identifies it as originating from the Worcester DVLA office, covering West Midlands. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after March 2020 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.

• Where is the cheapest place to buy VO20 GEL? +
NewReg.co.uk currently lists VO20 GEL at £1,491, with a total all-in cost from £1,869 including the £80 DVLA transfer fee. • Why are some VO20 GEL listings priced much lower than the market rate? +
Some dealers advertise plates with a headline figure such as “from £200”, which can refer to their minimum site-wide price rather than an actual price for VO20 GEL. The genuine market value of VO20 GEL reflects its specific characteristics — plate format, letter combination, rarity and any name or word that buyers may associate with it.
