Plate Details

YE58 OSS is a current-style registration issued in September 2008. Current style plates use a two-letter area code, a two-digit year code (58), and a three-letter random sequence. The 58 area code identifies it as originating from the Leeds DVLA office, covering Yorkshire. Under DVLA rules, this plate can be assigned to any vehicle first registered on or after September 2008 — it cannot make a vehicle appear newer than it actually is.

Investment & Value

YE58 OSS is a current-style registration. While the current format is still issued, specific combinations with strong personal associations — particularly short, meaningful initials — command significant premiums on the secondary market. Personalised number plates are a tangible, portable asset. Unlike most purchases, a desirable plate retains and can appreciate in value over time. NewReg has been trading since 1989 and can advise on valuation — call 01772 566400.

• Is YE58 OSS a good investment? +
Personalised number plates have a strong track record as alternative investments. YE58 OSS is a Current style registration — plates at this price point reflect genuine collector demand and limited availability. Unlike most assets, a personalised plate can be displayed and used daily while being held as an investment. NewReg has operated since 1989 and has seen strong long-term appreciation across quality registrations. Plates are not a guaranteed investment — values depend on demand, plate format, and letter combination.
